Baby Girl Names

There are so many names to choose for a baby girl, every parent want a unique name for their babies because they will grow and die with their names. Majority of the Filipino names are from the first letter of their parents's name. Some are a combination of their names: Shirley (mother) Aurelio (father) the baby becomes Shirel. The trend nowadays are having two names and most are foreign sounding.

Individually I like Eloise and Sofia. I like Eloise because I want to use part of my mother's name Lourdes. So there is a "LOU" in her name. I like Sophia because it is one of the top names but there are
a lot of girls named Sophia or Sofia. Beatrix means "She who brings happiness". Now the last name is Montalbo, this last name's meaning is Mountain.  I would like to choose Arendelle from the Disney Frozen because my little girl Kiara is addicted with Frozen and is also addicted with My Little Pony. There is a Princess Celestia character in My Little Pony.

Oh I want a nice sounding name for my new baby! Help.

Socializing Babies

It's been a while since I last entered anything here. There is so much thing to do and finish and start again. Time flies by so quickly and then I see Kiara as not so small and not a baby anymore. There was a time when she wouldn't smile or laugh, and I thought of socializing her by enrolling her to Gymboree or even mainstream her to all the kids in the neighborhood. But now she's changed, she can laugh and make fun and say a lot of things. I guess it is just a phase or a stage in babyhood that I can't accelerate or push her to do the things her parents want her to do. Now she is displaying the behavior I dreamt of like singing, dancing and counting.. nature has its way of surprising you right?

In a new interview, Salma Hayek confesses she suffered from diabetes during her pregnancy and that she was hoping for a son – but now she's loving being a mom to her five-month-old daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault.
I guess wishing for a baby boy can be common for first time mothers. Siyempre, I want to justify my desire to have a baby boy and I was able to find a new mother who shares the same sentiment as me.

"I feel I was born to have this girl," she tells the April issue of Glamour magazine.

Pregnancy for the 41-year-old, first-time mom was a humbling experience. "I had diabetes while I was pregnant. I became huge. And I said, 'This is what it takes for me to have this baby, and I really want it.' Then you don't know if it's going to be healthy; you are completely out of control," she says. "So the experience really makes you humble."

Hayek's businessman fiancé, François Henri Pinault, 45, has two children from a previous marriage, and the actress confesses, "I wanted a boy."

How come? "Probably because I was afraid," she tells the magazine. "I think women suffer a bit more than boys, and there is always conflict between mothers and daughters."

"Now that she's here, I'm so happy she's a girl," Hayek says of Valentina. "And I can't imagine there ever being conflict between us, because I'm in a state of innocence where I love everything she does."

She concludes: "I just feel so fortunate to be her mother, and it makes me excited about the rest of my life, because I will get to witness her transformation every day."
