Kiara Likes to Play Hide Inside Our Car

Example HTML page When Kiara was five months old, we attended a Trick or Treat event in a nearby village so we took a ride in a tricycle. We were only three minutes inside when she was crying uncontrollably. We have to stop in a nearby store and I tried to walk carrying her with the tricycle trailing behind us. I was with my mother-in-law and Miko. They stayed inside the tricycle. When she stopped crying, we again rode inside and she cried again. My mother-in-law took her and they tried to hail a cab. She was still crying. So we ended up walking to the village. That was before, so we thought that she cannot ride a tricycle, we always bring a car whenever we go. She loves to crouch in the back seat hiding at the back of the driver's seat. It is a hassle because the car mats that Irwin bought was sliding whenever Kiara would crouch. The car mat would end up in a bundle near the front. it was too short I guess, it was not fitted to the floor of the car. I have to remind Irwin to get a new one. This time it should be fitted for Kiara's safety too. Sponsored Post.

Kiara Encounters Jollibee for the First Time

Since our university President declared a holiday today, we were able to have a trip to Starmall this afternoon with Kiara. This is her second time to see Jollibee (the figure outside the store). The first one was when she was about 5 months old and she has more comprehension now at her age. She was very excited and almost slipped because she was rushing to get to Jollibee fast.
She started to walk unassisted at 12 months and 2 weeks. She can now balance herself, walk up the stairs and run slowly. She is starting to get independent. She doesn't want anyone holding her. She is a small me, she smiles a little, a little shy with strangers, not the type who gets the attention of many. Though attention is cast her way. I know that toddlers can be a little KSP but Kiara is not one of those toddlers.
She is quiet in her own ways. She looks pretty and serious. Oh, but I do not want her to grow up like me, I was a shy girl and needs confidence while growing up.

Just yesterday morning after giving her a bath I discover that:

recently

1. She wants to comb her hair in front of the big mirror ( I do not know how she learns that)

I know this before:
2. She can now do the fishy-fishy ( hands clasp and swinging to the left and right)
3. She knows the title of her books, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Good Night Moon, and Moo, Baa Lalala.
4. She knows the word shampoo.
5. She can bless to elders.
6. She likes to kiss and cuddle and hug.
7. She knows how to put on her crocs sandals, unassisted.
8. She shares her food to everyone. ( A trait which she sees when we feed Cassie, our shih tzu dog)
8. She wants to clean the house with her clean clothes.

Hahaha!

I think she has been observing Ate Juliet for a while.
I am a busy mom, stressed at work, I want to spend more time with my Baby, I keep on telling Irwin that I want to quit my job. But with his salary alone, we will be living from payday to payday.
Which would translate to me not buying things that I want because majority of the expenses will be Kiara expenses.

God will provide. God will make a way.

Happy Birthday Kiara!

Kiara's birthday was at Mcdonald's Metropoli in Libis, Quezon City. This picture was with our SVI friends. Taken by Ging Lorenzo using my friend's camera. I am very excited to see the pictures from ging. I'm sure it will be full of wonderful shots.

What I Really Want to Do

What I really want to do is to be a full time mother to Kiara. I do not want to work not because I do not like my work but I like being with Kiara best. I am a workaholic and just like what the Bible says " you cannot serve two masters" and if I have work, I tend to prioritize it more than Kiara. Then I would feel guilty for not spending time with Kiara. Being a teacher is full of hard work, you have to prepare for your class and then even if an ordinary office girl finishes her work in the office, a teacher sometimes has to bring home work. I was able to manage my time when Kiara was smaller. I do not bring any work at home because I can't find time to do it. I do it at school but I am pressed for time, the quality of my work is compromised and I do not want a half-baked work. I can be an effective mother but not a good teacher and I think I have to let go one and I want to let go being a teacher.

I know myself, I've been dreading this time, before Kiara was born I was contemplating of leaving work or asking for a re-assignment. I would accept a job as a telephone operator that does not require a lot of thinking. Then maybe by 5pm I could rush home to be with my baby. Leaving all the worries behind not thinking of doing any quizzes or exams. Even if I am with Kiara, I keep on thinking of all the unfinished things to do and I can't be happy at the moment.

This is my big problem. ME. I am my own problem. I guess I have to concentrate on Kiara when I am with her and not think of anything else. I really have to make her a priority, sacrifice some sleep if I want to be an ever effective teacher, like what I am doing, doing my class work when everybody else is sleeping.

Or maybe change my style of teaching. I am very factual, knowledge, knowledge. I would try to go for higher-thinking skills and then maybe require them for a to-die for exam or project. ;) I will have to adjust myself to the changing times. Every time, every effort counts.

I promise to be at home right away and not stay late at school.
I promise to teach Kiara everything she needs to know, especially how much we love her.
I promise to be a good mother.

SO Help me GOD..

Kiara is Six Months Old

Kiara turned six months last Saturday, December 13, 2008. I only have one line for her... ISN'T SHE LOVELY?

For her sixth month this songs keeps on poking my mind. A reminisce of old video viewing from Jason Magbanua. This song is from Stevie Wonder and written by Frank Sinatra. Both men dedicated this song to the birth of their daughter. A gift from God. Babies are gift from God. This Christmas is a blessing for me and Irwin to have Kiara with us this Christmas.

Isnt She Lovely - Stevie Wonder

Isnt she lovely
Isnt she wonderfull
Isnt she precious
Less than one minute old
I never thought through love wed be
Making one as lovely as she
But isnt she lovely made from love

Isnt she pretty
Truly the angels best
Boy, Im so happy
We have been heaven blessed
I cant believe what God has done
Through us hes given life to one
But isnt she lovely made from love

Isnt she lovely
Life and love are the same
Life is aisha
The meaning of her name
Londie, it could have not been done
Without you who conceived the one
Thats so very lovely made from love

My Favorite Kiara Pictures

This is my all time favorite look of Kiara, I don't know.. she really looks so happy and contented. A child is really a blessing and I thank the Lord everyday and for as long as I live for giving me my Kiara.

It's Kiara's Christening!

I created several invitations for Kiara's baptism but the storage was inaccessible. Nasira yung hard drive where we stored it. So eto na lang ang natira. Haay, Kiara's baptism was last Sunday, kasabay ng birthday ng MIL ko.

It was a blast I guess, several people went to the reception, more than 170 according to the caterer. Eh ang food lang is good for 150 so sobrang dami talaga ng guests. We had it dito lang sa bahay.Kaya yung mga neighbors isang pamilya kung magpunta compared if you had it elsewhere. Anyways, naubos ang food which is good kasi suwerte raw, we are happy marami ang dumating to celebrate with Kiara.
It was also the 60th birthday of Lola Precy, mommy ni Irwin at mabait kong biyenan

Kiara's gown was a hand me down from her cousins sa side ni Irwin. All of her clothes were mostly hand me downs. We didn't buy any clothes for her except siguro yung 3 pieces na onesies from SM.
In good condition pa naman yung mga baby clothes na galing sa cousin ni Irwin saka branded sila that's why they kept it, pinapa-laundry pa nila.

We ordered these two cakes from Kitchen Kraft located at Samat cor. Calbayog, Mandaluyong City. The two cakes cost 5,000, Kiara's cake with the cupcakes were 3K and the other cake is 2K.

They have what they call lollies, these are cookies with different designs, other loliies are white chocolate, each costs 40 pesos.
The cupcakes cost 39 pesos each. It was a chocolate cake, masarap naman, there is a two-inch styro at the bottom to make the cake look tall.

Hindi na nga nai-display yung cake sa dami ng bisita wala nang table for the cake, nung umuwi na ang mga ilang guest at nagkaroon ng space saka lang naidisplaly. We also sang a birthday song for my MIL.
